Halloween Carnival

On Wednesday we went to my parents ward Halloween Carnival. It was a lot of fun and Kyson loved seeing my Mom dressed up as a witch! Both the kids dressed up in their costumes, Kyson as a spider and Camree as a flower. I loved seeing them in their costumes. They looked so stinkin cute!

I got to see one of my old beehives Mande. Mande has Downe Syndrome. She is so special and has changed my life forever. It was so fun to be able to spend some time with her and feel of her special spirit again.

Take My Picture Please!

Ok, so I have been wanting to put some pictures of Camree on my blog because I feel with all of the Halloween stuff that Kyson has been doing, she has just been left in the background.
The problem is that every time I try to take her picture this is what happens, she screams and cries! I was determined on Monday while Kyson was at a birthday party to get some pictures. I tried and of course she screamed and cried. So then I took her down stairs, gave her some fruit snacks, and what do you know, I got her to sit and smile!

Camree is so much fun right now. She is constantly following her big brother around and tries to do everything he does. She is always full of loves(she is the first one to give you a hug and kiss) and smiles(unless a camera is around), and is talking more and more each day. She is our precious little girl and we are so thankful to have her in our family!

The Scarecrow Festival

On Saturday we went to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving point. This was the first year we have been and the kids had a blast! There was a ton to see and do.
This was a slide that came out of a shark's mouth. Kyson thought it was so cool.
This slide is actually pretty big and steep. It didn't slow Kyson down, the bigger the better!

Inside the Haunted House. Kyson is so funny he loves scary things but then he will totally freak himself out. He is freakin as you can see by his death grip on the stroller! This is our second time through because even though he was scared he wanted to do it again.

We had to chase this guy down so that Kyson could say hi to the "really tall guy!"
Kyson loved this skeleton pirate and wanted a picture with him but didn't dare sit by him by himself.
We got Kyson's face painted and he decided that he wanted to be a lion. You can tell up close what a high quality face painting job he got. Oh well, he thought it looked great!
All done!
It was a fun day and got us all exited and ready for Halloween!

The Great Pumpkin Festival

On Friday night we went to Farnsworth Farm's Great Pumpkin festival! It was so much fun. We went with a bunch of friends from our ward. We went on a hayride, played in the pumpkin patch, had apple cider and popcorn, and watched Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin! The kids thought it was so fun to watch a movie outside at the pumpkin patch and the adults had fun visiting. The best part about it was that it was FREE! After we went to McDonald's ate ice cream and let the kids play. Such a fun night!
Our little family on the hayride.
Trying to take a picture of Camree. It is so hard to get her to sit still right now!

Football in the Fall!

There is nothing better than watching football in the fall! I have grown up going to the BYU games since I was a little girl. My Dad loves sports and since he never had any boys he started taking Sarah and I when we were little. We love football and probably know more about it than most men. I would take a football or basketball game any day over a Broadway play or ballet. I know call me crazy, but what can I say I love to watch sports! I guess we had to be the boys my Dad never had. On Saturday my Dad, Sarah, Rob and I all went to the BYU game. It was a little cold (34 degrees with the wind chill factor) but we bundled up and had a good time. Thanks Mom for watching the kids so we could go. I have so many fun memories of going to the BYU football games. Sarah and I even ran onto the field when BYU beat Miami( the national champs)! We were only 10 and 12! My parents almost died when they saw us out there. We would dress up in BYU gear with pom poms in our hair and even got to sit in our own seats in the cougar cub section. We thought we were so cool! Thanks Dad for all the wonderful years of memories and for developing my love for football!

When Rob and I were first married he wasn't a big sport's fan, but he has grown to love it like me! Go Cougars!

The Intsy Wintsy Spider!

The other day while Dad was doing the yard Kyson found a spider! He was so excited because it was a Daddy Long Leg and he could pick it up. He is obsessed with spiders and is even going to be one for Halloween. He saw pictures of his cousin Grace with the same spider so he wanted me to put pictures of him on the computer with his spider! If you look close you can see the spider in his fingers.

Yuck! Creeps me out just looking at it, let alone holding it. I hate spiders!

Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday Kyson had a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. This little Pumpkin Patch was so cute and had so many things to see and do. We had story time with a real live pirate, played on a pirate ship, went through a haystack maze, found things on a treasure map, watched a train, ate cupcakes and of course took pictures of it all!
Kyson with his pre-school class.

It's a Pirate ship!
I think I found a Pirate.
Camree looking at the pumpkins. I couldn't get her to sit still for a picture!
Kyson loved the white pumpkins. He said,"Mom take my picture with these ones!"
It was a fun, festive day. I am glad that I was able to tag along.

A House Full of Boys!

On Monday's Kyson is in a drop off play group with 5 other boys. We each take a turn having the boys for two hours once every six weeks and then the other days you just get to drop them off and enjoy! Well Monday it was my turn and suddenly we had a house full of boys! They were actually really easy and just wanted to play with each other. I didn't even have to entertain them. They played in the playroom, outside on the swing set, frosted Halloween cookies, colored Frankenstein and then it was time to go! I am so glad Kyson has this time to play with his friends without mom there. He loves it! And taking my turn with all of the boys wasn't so bad. It was actually kind of fun!
