Happy New Year!

This New Years Eve we decided not to fight the crowds and stayed home. Kyson got to pick a "special dinner" for him and Camree. He chose Dino chicken nuggets, Mandarin oranges, string cheese and root beer to drink! Oh the simple life of a child! Rob and I, my Mom and Dad, Sarah and Greg, and Suzie all decided to fix dinner at my Mom and Dad's.
As for the adults, Dino chicken nuggets would not do. Our "special dinner" included; shrimp cocktail and jalapeno artichoke dip, for appetizers, king crab legs (they were huge!), top sirloin steak, garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and asparagus. All I have to say is yum, yum, yum! I don't remember what we had for dessert. We were so stuffed on crab that we didn't even eat it hence, I can't remember what it was.
Holding our gigantic King Crab Legs! Kyson thought they were so cool but he would not eat "real live crab!"

I can't believe the year is over! We made so many wonderful memories as a family this year and can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for us. Happy New Year!

Snow = Sledding

With all of the snow we got we decided to go sledding! Chris and Breanne decided to come with us. Is there anything cuter than little kids in snow outfits?
Rob and Chris pulling the kids up the hill.
Do you think that Kyson is having a good time?

The boys.
The girls.
How cute is that!
The whole sledding gang. We had a good time and Camree actually liked it once she got used to her snow clothes. If it is going to snow we may as well play in it!

MeRrY ChRiStMaS!

Waiting on the stairs to see if Santa found our house!
Camree came down the stairs and went right to her kitchen and started playing. She didn't even care about opening any other presents.
Santa even remembered Brighton and gave her some dog bones.
Opening presents!

Kyson got the Scooby-Doo haunted house game. That was the one thing that he kept asking for over and over.
This little worm ended up being up being his favorite present. He would not put it down!
Camree is obsessed with babies right now, so Santa brought her her very own baby. Here she is feeding her some "num, num!"
Now she is putting her down for "night, night."

Neema, Papa and Jr all came over early Christmas morning to watch the kids open their presents.

Later that morning we went over to my parents. We had Eggs Ala Golden Rod, the yummiest breakfast ever, and opened presents. Grandma Leah always comes over on Christmas morning too.
Sarah, Suzie and their friend Darla.
Jr, Chris and Breanne.
Mikelle, Me, Kyson, Camree, and Rob.
Kyson with his jack in the box. He was telling me that he wanted a jack in the box. So I asked him if he wanted Santa to bring him one and he said,"No, Neema is going to get me one." Luckily my mom got the second to last one at Toys R Us.
Camree with her cupcake kit.
Oh I love that little smile!
That night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Featherstone's for dinner and more presents. Camree by GG and Great Pa's tree.
Kyson by the tree with his worm. He wouldn't pose for a picture unless his worm was in it!
Oh I am in trouble, Camree already loves Diet Coke.
Jr, Dad and I.
Neema and her Kyson. He has her wrapped around his little finger!
Camree and her Papa. Let's just say she melts his heart.
Camree and Kyson gathering around the piano getting ready to sing.
Everyone singing around the piano. Every year we call and sing to my aunt Debbie and fam on the phone. They live in Georgia and this is one of her favorite things to make her feel like she is at home. I can remember doing this ever since I was little.
Time to open presents again.

Kyson got all of these animal masks. They are so cute! Everyone decided to model them for a picture.
We had a wonderful Christmas but I have to admit that I was kind of excited for it to be over with this year. It is time to get back to our normal schedule. Merry Christmas until next year.

Twas the Night Before Christmas!

It has always been a tradition to have Christmas Eve at my parents house. We eat, sing Christmas songs, read a Christmas story and just enjoy being with the fam. Kyson and Camree were so excited for Santa Clause to come!
Grandma and Grandpa Featherstone
All the sisters and Camree.
All of the girls including my mom. Everyone always thinks that she is just one of the sisters. Kyson was feeling a little left out so he joined in.
All of the boys, they keep trying to catch up but we still out number them!

I wish my stomach looked that cute! Camree's Pj's were little silkies, how cute is that!
It is a tradition in my family to get Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve. I used to make Rob buy them for us until we had kids and then I decided to give it up.
All ready for Santa to come in their new pajamas! Tomorrow is Christmas!
