Today Kyson got the Chart Your Course Award at school. Each month each teacher nominates one person from their class to receive this award. Kyson was nominated this month for writing terrific books. After Christmas break the kids were given the assignment to write a 4 page book with pictures each week until the end of the year. Kyson has LOVED this assignment! His books have been so creative and he has come up with most of the ideas all on his own. He is getting so good with his spelling and can sound out most words. He has written more books than anyone in his class so Mrs. Johnson calls him the book machine!
All the kids that received the award come to the library and Mr. Jameson the Principal reads what their award is for and hands it to them. Here is Kyson receiving his award.

I can't believe how far Kyson has come this year. He has gone from not knowing all of his letters to reading and writing on a first grade level! Good job Kyson we are so proud of you!
This is what I found when I lifted up the car seat cover when we got home. I am doomed!!!
