Last week Rob was out of town and didn't get back until Friday night. He was tired from all of the traveling that week and just wanted to hang out with the kids. So we decided to stay home and have a movie night! We all got in our pajamas, popped some popcorn and watched a movie. Camree was so cute she thought that she was so big sitting on the couch with her own bowl of popcorn! We all got to sit and snuggle with our Daddy that we missed so much during the week! Perfect ending for a long week without Daddy.Monday, October 6, 2008

The Perfect Day for a Motorcycle Ride!
On Saturday Rob and my Dad decided that they wanted to go on a motorcycle ride. They gathered up a motorcycle gang of six guys and went and drove the Alpine Loop. Kyson loves the motorcycle and was so sad that Dad went without him. So when Rob got back he had to take Kyson for a ride around the neighborhood!

We tried to get Camree to sit on the motorcycle with Papa for a picture but she was not happy about that.

After Kyson's ride the guys decided that they didn't go on a long enough ride and asked if they could go up to Park City and back. Of course we said yes. They ended up in the Uintas at Mirror Lake! So much for a couple hour ride, it ended up being a whole day thing. Oh well, there's nothing like quality male bonding on motorcycles!Posted by Corinne at 9:36 PM 8 comments

Wheeler Farm
On Friday we went to Wheeler Farm to see the animals and have a picnic! Chris and Breanne came with us because they were having their niece, Sydney and nephew, Porter sleepover. It was a lot of fun and Kyson loved having the kids to play with.

These geese were not shy. They were actually chasing after the kids when they had bread in their hands. The kids would run away screaming and would throw the whole piece of bread so that the geese would stop chasing them. Needless to say the bread didn't last long but it was hilarious to watch!

Kyson has always been a ladies man and tonight his girl was Sydney! He grabbed her hand while they were walking and after a while Sydney tried to pull her hand away. Kyson grabbed onto her hand with both of his so that she couldn't pull it away. She finally broke free and Kyson was chasing after her trying to grab her hand again. She kept pulling it away and eventually put her hands in her pockets so that he couldn't grab it anymore! Sooo funny!p.s. Rob dressed the kids today which explains the outfits!

I am a Child of God
Last Sunday it was Kyson's primary program. The theme was I am a child of God. It was so cute to watch him. He got embarrassed when he saw everyone look at him so he closed his eyes and thought, hey nobody can see me now. His part in the program was, "I am a child of God and he knows my name is Kyson Ellingson." This is what we heard, "I am a child of God Kyson Ellingson." His precious face beamed as he spoke into the microphone! I am just glad he didn't say his part the way he did when he was practicing, "I am a child of God and he knows my name is Shakacan!" Don't ask me where he came up with that. He also held this family picture up with all of the other sunbeams during the song I love to see the Temple. So cute! At the end of the program the primary kids sang I am a child of God. Tears welled up in my eyes as I was so thankful to have such a precious child of God. It was such a good day to be a proud Mom. So many family members came to support Kyson which made the day even more special. Thanks everybody!Posted by Corinne at 8:44 PM 8 comments

Fall is in the Air
On Saturday, we were feeling a bit lazy so we decided to take a drive up the canyon to see if the leaves were changing much yet. We drove up big cottonwood canyon to Guardsman Pass. A few leaves were changing but not that many. Rob decided that he wanted to drive down the backside of Guardsman and into Heber. This is what we found. The closer we got to Heber the more the leaves had changed. The drive was so pretty and was well worth the extra hour and a half in the car.

Camree is obsessed with trying to drink our diet coke! She got a little whiny so we let her have it for just a minute. If anything it made for a cute picture!
Rob decided to go off road with the Land Rover. It was fun for him and brought back memories of 4-wheeling in the jeep. We stopped and snapped this family picture while we weren't on the main road. I love this time of year! The only thing I don't like about it is that I know Winter is on it's way!Posted by Corinne at 1:29 PM 7 comments

Happy Birthday!
On Wednesday Rob turned 33! He has never liked celebrating his birthday. His mom said he didn't even like it as a little kid! So we stuck to his wishes and didn't do much for his birthday. Kyson made dad a birthday card and gave it to him when he got home along with some birthday balloons. We then went out to eat with the fam at La Frontera. Rob wanted cheap Mexican for dinner. Everyone came back to our house and we had pumpkin pie!
Kyson helped mom make the pumpkin pie. Rob doesn't like cake but he likes pie and pumpkin pie is his favorite!
Kyson was insistent that we had to decorate the pie for dad's birthday. So we got candy corn, another one of his favorites, and wrote his name.
I am so grateful that 15 years ago at EFY he wooed me with those dimples. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and daddy to my children. I love him more and more each day! I still get smitten with his dimples even at age 33! Happy Birthday Babe!Posted by Corinne at 4:03 PM 12 comments

Ff is for Fire Truck!

On Tuesday Kyson went on his first field trip to the Draper City Fire station. I had to work so Rob stayed home and went with the kids on the field trip. I guess he ended up being a hit because he tried on the uniform and everyone thought Kyson's dad was so cool after that! I am so glad he got to go. What fun memories!

Princess Mikelle

This last week Mikelle was nominated for Homecoming Queen. She was first attendant so our weekend was filled with anything and everything Homecoming! On Thursday night we went to "Burning of the B." It is like a pep rally to get everyone excited for the homecoming game. That night was when they announced the Homecoming Royalty. Kyson was so excited when he saw Mikelle wearing her crown. He said, "Mom do you see how beautiful Mikelle is with her crown and dress! She is my Princess!" From then on she has been Princess Mikelle!

The kids playing around at Burning of the B.
The whole family with Princess Mikelle. Look who Kyson is standing by, not Mom and Dad, but by his Princess!
The two beauty queen's of the family.
On Friday night we went to the Homecoming game. Mikelle preformed at half-time and then was escorted on the field with the rest of the Homecoming royalty. Here is Kyson and Breanne at the game. He doesn't get any attention can you tell.
Kyson watching all of the girls and Princess Mikelle cheer. He is already obsessed with girls I am in trouble!
All of the royality drove around the track on the back of cars. My dad drove Mikelle and Kyson got to ride with him. He thought it was so cool. When it was time to get out he said,"No Papa let's do it again!"
I Love this picture it shows a little of how excited and proud Kyson was of his Princess Mikelle! Posted by Corinne at 2:36 PM 8 comments
